Women of color are half as likely to seek treatment for their...Tamika Lewis is a writer, speaker, and mental health expert practicing in Los Angeles, CA. She provides individual and group counseling with an emphasis on helping women and teens overcome anxiety and depression. Tamika is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Grief Recovery Method, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She integrates laughter and storytelling into every session, leaving clients feeling lighter and more hopeful.
Tamika graduated from CSULB with a Masters degree in School Counseling and completed her Masters in Social Work at UCLA. She was a National Association of Social Worker Award recipient, and was presented with the UCLA MSW Excellence Award. Additionally, she received recognition for her research with the CHLA Keck Diabetes Prevention Initiative. The study explored barriers to physical and mental wellness in South and East Los Angeles.

Jamie’s passion for helping others has been the driving force in both her personal and professional life which led to her pursing a Master’s in Social Work at USC. Jamie believes people have the capacity to live lives that are full of love, hope and successes. She works collaboratively with clients and relies heavily on a combination of shared experiences, connection and research-based interventions. Jamie helps clients increase their self-esteem and self-worth while learning healthy boundaries, emotion regulation and coping mechanisms. After working with her, clients can expect to feel more secure, worthwhile and confident about their abilities. Additionally, clients will have the ability to create and maintain healthy boundaries, have an increase in concentration and the ability to self-regulate emotions, and develop conflict resolution skills.
Pavan has always had a passion for helping others in their time of need. This passion led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA as well as a Master’s degree in couple and family therapy. Pavan has previously worked with teenagers, young adults, women and people of color who struggle with depression, self-confidence, anxiety, and societal and systemic pressures. Pavan loves guiding her clients and seeing them achieve their goals, tackle life challenges, and become confident in themselves overall. She continues to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds in a direct and positive style to help them become the best version of themselves.
Alexis is a professional clinical counselor-trainee who is currently working towards her masters of science in counseling. She is a San Diego native, who understands the importance of representation of womxn of color in the mental health field. Her professional background is in educational counseling at the higher education level and she has worked with diverse young adults on the path to achieving their academic goals. While working with students, Alexis realized her true passion for supporting individuals with clinical concerns such as anxiety and depression. Now a graduate student continuing her education in professional clinical counseling, she is devoted to supporting individuals with a myriad of life challenges so that they can feel empowered to cope and achieve wellbeing. In sessions, Alexis creates a non-judgmental space where individuals are safe to tell their story, receive genuine validation for their lived experiences, confront self-limiting beliefs, build skills, process emotions, and reach their fullest potential.
